TARRAGONA

In Georgian, "taragana" (ტარაღანა) means "sterlet" (Acipenser stellatus). It could be considered a coincidence, if it were not for the third case of Spanish coastal toponyms corresponding to Kartvelian fish names.

But if you don't like fish, here is a more impeccable interpreting. The "-ona" ending is Laz trademark and very toponymic. If so, the the root "taragi" should also be present in the same Laz dictionary. It does. In the dictionary of Tandilava ტარაღი [taragi] means "wool card". Thus, "Tarragona" literally means "land of wool carding".
