ALBA & ALBION

These two words, which in ancient times were used to refer to Scotland and the British Isles as a whole, should be regarded as elements of the pan-Kartvelian "Lube" paradygm, which has been described (see a big article on Lubes). Both words begin, with a high degree of probability, with the Phoenician (which, according to Klimov, and also according to common sense, can also be called Kartvelian) definite article "A", followed by the root "lb". How it turns into "lub" is described in detail in the article about "Albania". Thus, "Alba" and "Albion" can be, in fact, "The Luba" and "The Lubion", despite the traditional interpreting of the word "alba".
