TIVOLI

The Italian town of Tivoli makes our list of potential kartvelisms on the world map because of its alternative name "Tibur", which, like Tiber, shows a combination of the Zan definite article (which did exist in ancient Megrelian) "თე" [te] and the root "ibur", which may be related to the Basque "ibar" and translates as "valley". Tivoli is indeed located in the Anio River valley.

But at the same time, "Tivoli" itself is a Megrelian adjective made out of "tib/tiv" root. The variety of root's Zan meaning is from "raft" to "hay".
