TIBET

Since the probability of Kartvelian origin of toponyms that include the suffix "-et" is extremely high, it makes sense to consider the etymology of such a distant region from Georgia as Tibet. If this is the Kartvelian name "Tibeti", then the root here is the word "tibi", and the name is translated as "land of tibi". In the dictionary of Chanturia and Co. the word "ტიბი" [tibi] is translated as "pleasant scent". Tibet practices Buddhism, the ceremonies of which are strongly associated with incense. So, the interpretation of "Tibet" as "the land of pleasant aromas" makes sense and should be considered the main version of the etymology of the name.
