STARTING "V-" IN UKRAINIAN WORDS

The Ukrainian tradition of adding of the initial "v" to roots that begin with a vowel ("vin-on", "vona-ona", "vivtsi-ovtsi", etc.) completely coincides with the same feature of the Svan language: "votakh" ("room", "otahi" in Georgian), "vokr" ("gold", "okro" in Georgian), "vodzhakh" ("family", "odzhakhi" in Georgian).
