SAMOS

If you replace the Greek nominative ending "-os" with the Georgian nominative ending "-i", then the Greek island of Samos off the Anatolian coast becomes "Sami", which, by the way, coincides with the name of the town on the island. The word "sami" in Georgian means "three". Why the island could be called by this word becomes clear if you learn about the three harbors of the island Samos - Pythagorio, Karlovassi and Samos Town.
