SALOLIME

On the well-known ancient Roman map Tabula Peutingeriana, in the area of the Crimean Isthmus, there is a toponym "Salolime" - "the place of lolimi", which is extremely Kartvelian in its character. This is an impeccable construction with the prefix "Sa-", the root and the suffix "-e". In search of the meaning of the root, we find ourselves in South Sudan and Uganda (which is no longer surprising), where there are a couple of toponyms called Lolimi with the meaning of "reservoir". In addition, in the Megrelian language, "lolua" means "to smoke".
