Long etymology, but worthy of attention. First, we look at the English "belly", which does not have a clear etymology. Then, we look at the Georgian word ბელი (beli), meaning "bear cub" (Chanturia). Let's assume that earlier it had been any animal's cub. Thus, we get "belly" as "(a place for) a baby (beli)".
And finally, in Basque "belly" is "sabela". The immaculate Kartvelian construction with "sa-", denoting "place of <root>". That is, "sabela" = "where beli is", i.e., "where the cub is", i.e., "belly".
