PUTAMITSA

The name of this small Crimean river not far from Artek with a probability of ninety-eight percent comes from the Greek word "ποταμιτσα" [potamitsa] - "river".

But the remaining two percent still force us to add the toponym to the list of possible Crimean Kartvelisms, since the word consists of two Kartvelian roots: "puta" (ფუთა, "knot", "package") and "mitsa" (მიწა, "earth"), which together form a "knot of earth".
