MUHAROV

The town of Muharov in the Khmelnytsky region of Ukraine has the word "muhar" as its root, which is a combination of the Georgian word "muha" ("oak") and the Svan plural suffix "-ar". In general, it means "a place where an oak grows". It is very similar to the similar Georgian word "muhnar" in the same meaning. The only difference is in the Old Kartvelian plural suffix "-n-". The word "muhar" is translated as "a place of oak", and "muhnar" - "a place of oaks".
