LUWA

Ibn Khaldun in his "History of Ibn Khaldun" says that the name of the Berber tribe of Lwatae, from which the name Libya is believed to have originated, was previously called Luwa. Then, according to Ibn Khaldun, the Berbers added the ending "-at" (a Zan toponymic suffix). That's exactly the Lubata tribe, mentioned by ibn-Khordadbekh.
