CADIZ

In ancient times, Cadiz was called "Gadir", while a resident of Cadiz is called "gadetano", which, as in the case of the names of other Iberian tribes in Spain, contains a Kartvelian toponymic construction - "Gadeti", "country of gad-". The Georgian word "gado", translated as "wave", is quite suitable as the root of such a toponym. "Country of waves" corresponds well to the Atlantic coast of this part of Spain, whose majestic waves will not be forgotten by anyone who has visited it.
