A tribe with this name was placed by Ptolemy in Catalonia.
First of all, the toponym is part of the group of Iberian tribes that end in "-etani", being adjectives from toponyms ending in the signature Georgian suffix "-eti". Thus, the true toponym is "Auseti", which translates as "land of the Ausi".
Here we should remember that the Georgians used to call the Ossetians "ovsi", and their land, accordingly, "Ovseti". And the Ossetians, as they claim, are descendants of the Alans who are known to have reached Catalonia.
The root "ovsi" may also be present in Ukrainian toponymy. For example, the Ovsyanka River or the village of Ovsyuki.
