ÁRBOL

An example of how the Iberian history and the the Iberian essence of things are being erased in front of our eyes.

The fundamental Spanish word "árbol" means "tree". With regard to its etymology you can read some nonsense in the Spanish dictionaries. Without thinking twice, the "etymologists" dive into Sanskrit, from where they never resurface, as there is no need for that. It's cozy there, and no one will check anything.

... Meanwhile, as in Koldo Mixelena's dictionary of the Basque language, the word "arba" means "branches", "shrub", etc. It is clear to a blind person that the word "árbol" comes from here. And it did so by adding the Megrelian "-ol" suffix!. How come this Basque root is not visible to Spaniards?

It is not visible, because it is difficult to recognize the Basque language as the true master of the Iberian Peninsula. That is why the Basques used to be forbidden to speak their own language in certain historical periods.
