CUICA

On the left is a Brazilian musical instrument, essential for samba. On the right is a butter churn. They are similar not only because they are containers but also because they have a stick inside—each serving a different purpose. What else do they have in common? Their name. The Brazilian instrument is called “cuíca”, and in the Kvareli dialect of the Georgian language the butter churn is called “ყუიკა” (kuika)—which is the same word.
