The Old Ukrainian term for "dung beetle" appears in Grinchenko’s dictionary as "бжук."

A quick search for "dung beetle and sun" yields excellent results, reinforcing the connection:

• In Megrelian, "бжа" means "sun."

• The suffix "-ук" is a common Georgian formation.

This aligns with the behavior of dung beetles, as described in sources: "...After shaping a dung ball, the beetle rolls it from east to west..."

In other words, it moves in alignment with the sun.
