ZOUAVE

"Zouave" is a French infantryman of the colonial (North African) troops. Named so after one of the Kabyle tribes (indigenous Berber population Algeria, pretty Kartvelo-speaking, as we remember). In Georgian, ზუავი (zuavi) is "proud" (Chanturia).
