Zikhi are the same pirate people of the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, which the Apsua attribute to their ethnogenesis. In their opinion, "Zikhi" is "цlыху", that is, "man" from Apsui. But we have a small problem. Strabo writes this name like this - Ζυγοί, which in ancient Greek was read as [zugi]. And "zuga", in turn, is a purely Megrelian word "hill" (hence the name of the capital of Megrelia - Zugdidi. By the way, it is interpreted as "zug + didi", that is, "big hill", but Kajaia has an alternative spelling - "Zugidi", which may be a slightly distorted Kartvelian "Zugeti", that is, "country of hills"). So, Zikhi-Zugi are Mingrelians, that is, Kartvelians, that is, Georgians, that is, Abkhazians-Kartvelians.
