The idea that the Wends and Vyatici are the same people is not new. Let's just add linguistic grounds to it, and at the same time see a Kartvelian morpheme in "Vyatici".
The difference between "Wends" and "Vyatici" is in the letter "n". Strangely, it's the Polish language which is responsible for the disappearance and appearance of this letter. Namely, its specific letter "e" with a tail (ę) which is pronounced as [en] nasally. Thus, the Wends, written in Polish as "wętici", without taking into account the specificity of the letter "ę" turn into "Wetici" or "Wyatici". A similar metamorphosis took place in relation to the name "Sventoslav-Svyatoslav". If this makes sense, then the true name of the Vyatici tribe is “Ventici”, and the letter “t” in this name is a trace of the Kartvelian toponymic suffix “-et”.
