SWEDEN

Snorri Sturlusson located a country called "Sweden" between the Black and Baltic Seas, of which the ancient Kartvelian-speaking Ukraine was a part. The Latin spelling of "Sweden" - "Suetia" - is an impeccable Kartvelian toponymic construction "Sueti" / "Shueti" - "the country of sua / shua", where the root is most likely the same as in the word "svan" / "shuan", which, as is known, denotes one of the most ancient nations of the Kartvelian language family.

Of particular interest is the parallel between the Scandinavian word "varangian" and the Svan "varg", meaning "prince". Also note that both Svans and Old Nordic people used "-ar" as the plural suffix. Also, "Sveti" can be "land of svi (სვი)", which is "land of hops" in Georgian.
