Since "na" (ნა) means "reed" in Georgian, then "nili" would be a passive participle which would impeccably mean "reeded". Note that the famous Egyptian rafts were made of reeds too, paving way for the Georgian (and Spanish) words "navi" for "boat", which has the same "na" as root.
