LUBATA

In addition to the Berber tribes Zanata and Muzata, the Arab historian ibn Khordadbekh also mentions in his book the tribe Lubata, whose name undoubtedly includes the Kartvelian toponym "Lubeti", meaning "land of the Lubes". According to him, the ancestral home of the Berbers is the Middle East, from where those tribes migrated to Nothern Africa about a thousand years b.C.
