LEBANON

The country of Lebanon (Livan in Ukrainian) coincides to certain degree of accuracy with both Canaan and Eber-Nar, two other Middle Eastern toponyms of Kartvelian origin, and is adjacent to Israel and Palestine, which are also interpreted from a Kartvelian point of view. One of the two Arabic transcriptions of this name, which looks like "Lubnan", allows Lebanon to be included in the group of "lub" toponyms.
