The Western Ukrainian subethnos of the Gutsul clearly contains the Kartvelian adjective suffix "-ul", which gives us the right to look for the meaning of the entire name in the root "guts-". In the Georgian language, the word "gutsa" (ღუწა) has many meanings, the most expressive of which is "hard work". Hence, "gutsuli" (ღუწული) means "hard-working", "industrious". Which is an excellent characteristic of the Ukrainian way of life.
