How was France called before? That's right, Gaul. What is "gaul" from the point of view of Kartvelian languages? This is a very typical Kartvelian adjective construction "-uli". When there are neither "L" nor "R" in the root, we have a right to use either "-ul" or "-ur" as suffix. From this point of view, the word "gaul" legitimately corresponds to "gaur".
