There never were any "Galatians". There were Gauls (Gal) and their country "Galat(i)", which by adding an article was transformed into "Galatia". The suffix "-at" is not only Zan (Megrelian and Laz), but also toponymic. See Sagalassos (Sagalati/Sagaleti). The Celts are known to have massively migrated to Minor Asia in the third century b.C.
