Strabo places a tribe called Eneti in Paphlagonia. For a Kartvelian eye, it is clear that this is not the name of a tribe, but of a country. The country of the Eni. It is not yet entirely clear who the "Eni" were, but at least the famous Teukr-Dardanian Trojan Aeneas may have a relation to them, and in addition, Chanturia's dictionary records ენიანი კაბა [eniani kaba] - "dress with garlands", which can be either a "tongue dress" (since "ena" in Georgian is also "tongue". For this, the garlands on the dress should look like tongues), or just an "Enian dress".
The European Veneti seem to be the same people, since the tradition of adding the starting "v-" is well-known in Ukraine and Svan languages.
