DAMANITANI

 The name of the Spanish tribe mentioned by Pliny is certainly related to the region of "Damaneti". In Georgian, "Damani" (დამანი) means "burning glass". Whether this was a tribe engaged in the production of burning glass is difficult to say (Iberia was known as a glass producer). But the history of the industry goes back to the distant past.
