In Dahl's dictionary a strange archaic word "lintvar" means "lamb of late litter". No etymology is suggested. Meanwhile in Svan language ლინტვ [lintv] means "winter", thus, the litter is "lintvar", because it's close to winter, late. See also Lintvarivka.
