ЦВИНТАР

The suffix "-ar" in the Ukrainian word "tsvintar" can be the Svan plural suffix of place. Then the root should be the word "tsvint(i)".

In search of "tsvinti" we come across "წვინტლი" [tsvintli]. As in many other Georgian nouns ending in "-li", this ending may be a truncated suffix of the adjective "-eli", which over time has transformed into a noun.
Thus, we have the right to consider "tsvint" to be the root of the word "tsvinteli". Since "tsvinteli", being a derivative of "tsvint", means "slime", then "tsvint" must be what "slime" comes from. If so, then "tsvintar" is translated as "the place from which slime comes". Disgusting, but scientific and legitimate.
