ЖАВОРОНОК

In Ukrainian and Russian "zhavoronok" means "lark". This word "zhavoronok" consists of two morphemes: "zha + voronok". The second is a hyperonym corresponding to the general word "bird". And the first morpheme determines what kind of bird we are talking about. The word "ჟა" [zha] is one of recorded (Kajaia) variants of the Megrelian "bzha" – "sun". Thus, "lark" is "sun-bird". Larks have been associated with the dawn everywhere. In Japan they even have a fairy tale in which a lark wakes up the sun with its singing.
