ΚΕΦΑΛΉ

The Greek word "κεφαλή" [kep(kh)ali] means "head". The origin is unknown. But in Georgian we have the word "კეფა" [kep(kh)a] meaning "back of the head". While the ending "-λή" in Greek means an adjective that can also act as a noun:

"-λος, -λη, -λον are adjectives used as nouns as well."

Thus, "kep(kh)ali" is an adjective. From what noun is it derived? Of course, from "kep(kh)a". Is there such a word in Greek? No. Is there such a word in Georgian? Yes, there is. Does it have anything to do with the head? Yes, it does.

Also, "-li" is an adjective suffix in Laz.
