Let's get back to "fourage", which, as already mentioned, is clearly coming from the Georgian cow "phuri".
In Spanish "forraje", in French "fourage", in English "forage". It is the same suffix "-ah", transformed in the French into "azh", and in English into "-ij".
This is a Kartvelian suffix, which exists in different dictionaries varieties: -ახ, -აქ, -აყ, -ა, -აღ. With its help, we make a noun from another one, as, for example, in the case of "ahva" (groan) - "ahvahi" (cry).
