The word "letre" in Svan (also there is an alternative version "litre" as indicated in the dictionary of Karpez Dondua) is "beverage", "potable", "something that can be drunk". The root here is the pan-Kartvelian word "tro" - "to drink" (actually, "drink" also comes from here) plus the proprietary Svan prefix "li-". While the word "litre" does not have a reasonable etymology.
PS: in fact, "litre" means "to drink" in the Svan language.
