HARE

Regarding the connection between the Basque "sand" - "hare" - and the Georgian language. There is no such exact root there, but there is ხარაბა (haraba) - "barren wasteland", in essence, "desert". The root here is "har-", but in a meaning that has not been preserved in modern Georgian.
