And here is an explanation of why "сказ" turned into some "сказка", "Маша" into "машка", "сеть" into "сетка", "клеть" into "клетка". Where "пачка", "белка", "тарелка", etc. etc. come from. This is the ending of the Megrelian ergative case "ქ" (k). It also explains a considerable number of Georgian words with a previously incomprehensible suffix, such as "tsutski".
