РЕКА

Surprisingly, some Kartvelian dialects use the word რექა (reka) in the same meaning in which this word is present in Ukrainian and Russian – "river (silty)".

Moreover, in Mtiuleti there is a river which is called "Reka". The version about borrowing from Russian is not accepted. First, in Georgian "reka" has a narrower meaning than in Russian, and second, if the word had been borrowed into Georgian from Russian, it would have contained the letter "კ" rather than the more specific "ქ".
